Tom Cridland

Tom Cridland is an Anglo-Portuguese musician, fashion designer and entrepreneur. He works with his Anglo-Italian wife, Deborah, whom he married in Ravello on the 14th October, 2023.

Tom grew up in London with his father, Jonathan, his mother, Manuela, and his brother, James.

Tom's introduction to the music business came through his fashion brand, Tom Cridland Clothing, established in 2014, and its customer, Nigel Olsson.

Tom is a singer, songwriter, record producer and piano player. He learnt the piano during the Covid-19 lockdowns as a means of overcoming alcoholism, inspired by Elton John, and has performed all over the world as his alter ego, "Sir El Tom". He has played hundreds of concerts at iconic venues including Carnegie Hall, Adelphi Theatre, Teatro Tivoli, Casino Estoril, Vivo Rio, Théâtre du Gymnase Marie Bell, Emerson Colonial Theatre, The Granada Theatre Santa Barbara, Balboa Theatre, The Conrad Prebys Performing Arts Center, Perot Theatre, Sioux City Orpheum, Robinson Center, Koger Center for the Arts, Buskirk-Chumley Theater, Performing Arts Center San Luis Obispo, Scottsdale Performing Arts Center, Sunrise Theatre, Teatro Positivo, Ulysses Centro de Convenções, Vibra São Paulo, Liverpool Philharmonic Hall, Sheffield City Hall, New Wimbledon Theatre, Bristol Beacon, New Theatre Oxford and Birmingham Symphony Hall.

Tom has gone on to produce, write songs and record with the likes of The Stylistics, Shania Twain, Ronnie Wood of The Rolling Stones, Gene Simmons of KISS, Justin Hawkins of The Darkness, Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top, Bill Champlin, Davey Johnstone, Jay Graydon, The Real Thing, Nathan East, Kenji Suzuki of Simply Red, Tower of Power, Steve Lukather of Toto and many other industry legends.

Tom and Debs have consulted on creative, marketing and public relations for over 350 clients including Rubik’s, Castore, Sweaty Betty, Luno, Drumeo, Redshaw Advisors Ltd, Henry Poole & Co, Richard Anderson, Craghoppers, Build-A-Bear, Hometree, Keela, Corrymoor Socks, Tea & Tequila, Hometree, Araldica Castelvero, Lee Oskar Harmonicas, Santamaria Shirtmakers, Draper of Glastonbury, Iles Formula, Ynsect, Bodileys, Nigel Olsson and The Stylistics.

Tom Cridland Clothing have made garments for the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio, Daniel Craig, Ben Stiller, Rod Stewart, Jeremy Piven, Toby Huntington-Whiteley, Robbie Williams, Hugh Grant, Nile Rodgers, Brandon Flowers, Stephen Fry, Frankie Valli, Michael Portillo and Stephen Merchant. Tom has designed Nigel Olsson's clothing for Elton John tours since 2014, including his purple suit for the historic, recording breaking performance at Glastonbury.
