#45 - John Oates of Hall & Oates Interview

John Oates is one half the most successful duo in the history of music, alongside his longtime collaborator Daryl Hall. He has written some of the best pop songs of all time: "Maneater", "Out of Touch" and "She's Gone". John chats to Tom over Zoom to tell him about being neighbours with Hunter S. Thompson, his friendship with George Harrison, turning down George Martin, and what he thinks of the likes of 10cc, Michael Jackson and Simply Red copying or sampling Hall & Oates songs.
