Story

The 30 Year™ Sweatshirt is a timeless wardrobe staple that is built to last a lifetime and backed with our signature 30 Year™ Guarantee. This means, should anything happen to your sweatshirt over the next three decades, we’ll repair it free of charge to ensure you can continue to wear it.

Why do we do this? Mainly to demonstrate our commitment to quality and to our customers, which benefits us as an independent retailer.

The side effect, however, is that we’re not further exacerbating the devastating effect the fashion industry has on the environment. Fashion is the world’s second most polluting industry, contributing billions of tonnes of waste to landfill every single year. With the dangers of climate change becoming increasingly immediate, sustainable fashion can be a helpful solution that in no way lessens the pleasure and enjoyment we get out of our clothing.

By making more durable apparel with a three decade warranty, like The 30 Year™ Sweatshirt, we’re hoping to encourage a “buy less, buy better” ethos, rejecting planned obsolescence and making it easier to keep your clothing for longer.

When it comes to garment composition, we favour organic and recycled materials that are better for the environment and, equally, more comfortable on your skin. The 30 Year Sweatshirt is made from 85% Organic Cotton and 15% Recycled Polyester. The fabric is natural, renewable and biodegradable.

The Organic Cotton is a genetically modified organism (GMO) free fibre using less water than "standard cotton”. Production does not involve the use any fertilisers or pesticides, keeping soil healthier and more fertile. We recycle the waste from the cotton ginning process for the animal feed industry.

Recycled Polyester is made from plastic bottles with environmentally responsible treatment of waste water and no toxic additives.

Our production is PETA approved vegan, meaning that our garments are composed entirely of vegan materials, and that we do not conduct or commission any animal tests on ingredients, formulations or products.

The 30 Year™ Sweatshirt is medium weight with a soft finish, making it suitable for wear all year round. All our colours are created using dyes that are environmentally friendly.

The 30 Year™ Sweatshirt is built to last a lifetime but is also backed with 3 decades of free mending. If anything happens to it over the next 30 years, send it to us and we will mend it and send it back to you. That means the cost of repair and return postage is on us.
